Clothes might be the obvious stars of fashion week, but these collabs prove that teamwork makes the dream work when it comes to putting together the ultimate outfit.

There’s a lot to be said for finishing touches when it comes to getting dressed. This year’s iteration of Australian Fashion Week put accessories in the spotlight, with brands creating their own pieces or working with experts in the field to offer up shoes, bags and jewellery that we can’t wait to wear.

Yu Mei at Beare Park

New Zealand brand Yu Mei partnered with Beare Park to create a six-piece capsule for the Resort ’25 show. The two founding designers, Jessie Wong of Yu Mei and Gabriella Pereira of Beare Park, are a perfect pair as they champion craftsmanship and quality in their respective approaches to modern simplicity. Rich suede bags that play with proportion, including an extra-exaggerated draped tote called the Leonardo and a reinvigorated baguette named The Bobby, form the base for Yu Mei’s resort collection which will drop in October 2024.
