Street Style: The Best From Fashion Week 2019

Spectator fashion at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia can often be more telling – and fun – than what's on the runway.

While 2018 was dominated by classic tailoring, see-through shopping bags and lots of sparkle, this year saw repeat throwbacks to the '90s, with Chuck Tailors; thigh-high, high-shine vinyl boots; hair clips; and bum bags worn slung over the shoulder.

The classic, timeless two-piece suit, though, shows no signs of disappearing. And the print of the week was undoubtedly check. Lots of it. Paired with bold and bright prints, or high-shine statement skirts, the clashes that are almost too much are the ones we love the most.

Broadsheet’s street-style photographer Meaghan Coles was there to capture the best on the ground.
