Uber Eats and a selection of some of the best restaurants from across the country are partnering for Your Local Food Fest, a 13-day food festival celebrating the diversity of our local communities while capturing the buzz of their kitchens and chefs. Yes, traditional festivals are out until Covid-19 is conquered, but this one is taking the stories online and the world of food to your door.
From June 18 to 30, Uber Eats is celebrating a range of different cuisines and spotlighting the local experts behind them. Each day will bring a new focus – be it seafood or dessert, Japanese or Mexican. And each day there will be promotions, deals or specials to participating restaurants near you, at no cost to the restaurants – Uber Eats is footing the difference. You could get 30 per cent off your next quesadilla – or zero delivery fees on your next biryani order.
There are hundreds of local restaurants taking part – from family-run diners to hidden gems waiting to be discovered. It’s the perfect opportunity to get acquainted with local chefs and restaurants you haven’t tried before.
Keep an eye on the Food Fest hub for each day’s special, and to see stories about restaurateurs, the cuisines they love and the dishes they’ve worked a lifetime to perfect. There’ll also be a daily Spotify playlist designed to match the cuisine of the day – which could be anything from Italian folk music to J-pop to Moroccan hip-hop.
Your Local Food Fest runs from June 18 to 30.
