Catch some of the world’s best surfers battling it out in this mid-season decider on the South West’s wild shores.

The Western Australia Margaret River Pro is one of the most anticipated stops on the World Surf League (WSL) Championship Tour. Returning from April 17, the 2026 edition is a crucial mid-season decider that’ll see surfers putting everything on the line to advance to the second half of the world tour.

Across 11 action-packed days, surfers will battle it out on some of the most challenging waves on tour, with the bulk of the competition playing out on the rugged Margaret River Main Break and The Box, a shallow reef break at the northern end of the bay. Out of 36 men and 18 women, only the top-ranked athletes will progress to the second half of the tour and stay in the running for the 2026 World Title. The surfers who make the mid-season cut will also automatically qualify for the start of next year’s World Championship Tour.

Catch the action live and free at Surfers Point with giant screens, expert commentary and an event hub with a buzzing festival atmosphere. Expect food trucks, merchandise stands and epic replays – plus the chance to meet your surfing heroes as they stop for autographs and selfies between heats.

Whether you’re a die-hard surf fan or just looking for an unforgettable day at the beach, Surfers Point is where you’ll want to be this April.
