In its 12th year, TEDxSydney is returning to Sydney Opera House for a day of insightful talks from some of the country’s biggest thinkers. The event will be broadcast via an interactive online platform for the second year running.
The first speakers to be announced for 2021’s event are 2021 Australian of the Year Grace Tame, a leading voice for survivors of sexual assault; entrepreneur George Peppou, inventor and co-founder of food-tech startup Vow; Djiribul woman and Indigenous leader Shelley Reys AO, CEO of Arrilla and partner at KPMG; Charlton Hill and Justin Shave from Uncanny Valley, a music and technology company from Sydney; ecologist Tracey Rogers, who is studying how animals overcome the challenges of changing environments; and poet, writer and human rights activist Sara Saleh.
This year’s theme is “possible”. “With every passing week we learn more and more about what is possible... and what is not,” says TEDxSydney founder Remo Giuffré. “We need new ideas more than ever, and TEDxSydney is proud of its role in bringing bold and brave ideas to the forefront of conversation.”
Additional speakers and performers will be announced closer to the event.
