Spring and Summer Cocktails From Hennessy, Belvedere and Volcan
Whether you’re a cognac connoisseur, a vodka lover or a tequila fanatic, you’ll be sipping good drinks this spring. From now through November, discerning cocktail fans and casual drinkers can visit a slate of venues across the country offering bespoke cocktails made with some of the world’s finest, most premium spirits. There’s French cognac house Hennessy, with its vibrant aromatic profile; Belvedere, produced in one of Poland’s longest operating distilleries with zero additives; and Volcan de mi Tierra, an easy-drinking tequila inspired by the rich volcanic terroir of Jalisco in Mexico.
In Melbourne, Good Heavens rooftop bar and late-night tavern Springrock are celebrating Henny Hour every day from 10pm until close – enjoy a Henny & Ginger for just $9 (usually $14) during those later hours. Outside Henny Hour, savour the elegance of a classic Sidecar cocktail made with Hennessy, a Tommy’s Margarita made with Volcan de mi Tierra tequila, and a contemporary spin on a Pornstar Martini called the Passionate Lova, made with Belvedere Pure Vodka.
In New South Wales , a trio of top venues are raising the bar and pouring Hennessy and Belvedere cocktail specials between 4pm and 7pm on Fridays and Saturdays. Head to beachside destination Bobby’s in Cronulla for a Hennessy and fresh apple cocktail or a Belvedere Sgroppino; try the Last Train to Busan Hennessy cocktail at Bancho in Ultimo; or grab a refreshing Hennycolada at Halfway Bar next time you’re in Wollongong.
Up in Queensland, sip a Tipsy Pirate (Hennessy, mango, orange and passionfruit), two Belvedere drinks (called Naughty Girl and Arvo Delight), and six Volcan Blanco Margarita (including two frozen Margs) at Bistro C in Noosa Heads, or go for the Hennessy (Celeste and Ananas), Belvedere (Cinnamon Sun and Nature’s Candy) and Volcan (Passion Route and Violet Vision) cocktails at iconic Cairns waterfront venue Salt House.
And in Western Australia, three venues in the Leederville Precinct are serving up drink specials. Head to Daisy’s late-night bar and patio for two Hennys for $20 on Friday and Saturday nights. Sip on $20 East Eight Hold-Up cocktails (Belvedere vodka, Italian aperitivo, pineapple and passionfruit) at The Leederville Hotel, or grab a seat at lofty all-day diner Servo for $21 Volcan rhubarb and sumac Palomas.
Gather your mates, raise a glass and make the most of the warm weather while the drinks specials last.
