Sorry Not Sorry National Bar Takeover Tour

Sun 30th March, 2025
677 Ann Street Fortitude Valley 4006
A group of ex-Swillhouse staff will pop up at leading venues around the country in March and April to help fund legal action against their former employer. Each event includes themed drinks and guest appearances, and will promote the need for safer workplaces in the hospitality industry.

Last year, the Sydney Morning Herald published a report detailing allegations of sexual misconduct against Swillhouse, the hospitality giant behind Le Foote, Caterpillar Club, Shady Pines Saloon, Hubert, Alberto’s Lounge and The Baxter Inn, plus the now-closed Frankie’s Pizza.

A group of ex-staff members – Rachelle “Rocky” Hair, Jenna Hemsworth, Brittany Rowe, Reuby Kahl and Alex Hooker – are now pursuing legal action against their former employer. High-profile barrister Sheryn Omeri KC will represent them in conjunction with Marque Lawyers.

To help cover legal costs, Hair and Hemsworth – both award-winning bartenders – will host fundraising events at leading bars around the country in March and April, under the collective’s banner Sorry Not Sorry.

In Melbourne, the team behind Caretaker’s Cottage will join them at The Lincoln in Carlton. Next up is Savile Row in Brisbane, followed by Hanky Panky Lounge in Darwin, Edward and Ida’s in Perth, Maybe Mae in Adelaide, and Disco Pantera in Sydney. There are plans to extend the tour overseas.

At each event, there’ll be themed drink menus, special guest appearances and the opportunity to contribute to the group directly. Importantly, the takeover series is designed to engage with both the industry and wider community about the need for major systemic change in Australian hospitality, in order to create safer workplaces for the future.
