In summer, we holiday. We swim in the ocean, have fun in the sun and catch up with friends. In recent years, however, many Australians have had to contend with summers of hardship caused by bushfires, floods and the pandemic. To help those in need, BWS has teamed up with non-profit organisation GIVIT, an innovative platform that connects donors with community organisations.
GIVIT assists charities deal with large volumes of donations by matching offers of help – in the form of goods, volunteering and services – to make sure people receive the help and resources they need when they need it, whether they’re recovering from a disaster event or experiencing hardship due to circumstances such as drought, domestic and family violence, homelessness, disability and mental health.
Now the BWS x GIVIT Snag A Donation campaign takes the classic Aussie backyard barbeque and turns it into a fundraiser too. From January 19 to 26, share photos of your BBQ snags on Instagram, tagging @bws_au and using the hashtag #snagadonation and BWS will donate $1 to GIVIT for every snag pictured. It’s the perfect excuse to invite your mates around, put some drinks on ice and fire up the barbie for a good cause.
