Finland is considered (by the UN) as the world’s happiest country. And while it might be a while before we can visit its smiley folk, Visit Finland has launched a new virtual initiative – Rent a Finn – to give us a taste of the good life.
Six down-to-earth Finns (aka Virtual Happiness Guides) will host serotonin-boosting live-streamed sessions in May and June.
Do some crafting and crocheting on May 22; tag along on a sailing expedition with an outdoor enthusiast on May 29; learn to cook (with wild herbs) on June 1, with Michelin-starred Finish chef Sasu Laukkonen; and tour the charming village of Mathildedal on June 12. Watch all the livestreams back here.
You can also apply for a 15-minute, one-on-one session with one of the Virtual Happiness Guides from June 22 to 28. The sessions will happen via Microsoft Teams, Google Hangouts or Skype; request a booking here by June 7.
When applying you can choose a theme to guide your session, such as “Relax With a Finn”, “Eat With a Finn” or “Stay Active With a Finn”.
