Recycle Your Old Wetsuits at Rip Curl
During November, Aussie surf brand Rip Curl is inviting customers to drop off their old wetsuits in exchange for credit at stores across the country.
It’s part of the brand’s commitment to sustainability and the partnership with Terracycle means any brand of wetsuit will be repurposed into soft landing material used in playgrounds and at outdoor gyms.
Rip Curl’s flagship store in Torquay, which has been running a recycling scheme since April 2018, has so far saved more than 2500 wetsuits from going to landfill.
Customers can stop in at select Rip Curl stores until Thursday November 25 and donate wetsuits in exchange for $20 store credit, which should be used in store on the same day.
Unfortunately, booties, gloves, hoods or heavy diving suits cannot be recycled.
