Pet Fitness Challenge by the Lost Dogs’ Home

Tue 1st March, 2022 – Thu 31st March, 2022
Do downward dog, hit the running trail, play fetch and get moving with your furry mate – and help raise funds for pups in need.

Animal welfare charity the Lost Dogs Home wants to help you and your dog get fit, strong and healthy this March. It’s hosting the Pet Fitness Challenge throughout the month, encouraging you to get active while also helping raise funds for the organisation’s animal shelter.

Commit any amount of time you can to get moving with your pet, whether it’s just 15 minutes a day, an hour each week or whatever best fits your schedule. That could mean letting them join you on the yoga mat for some downward dogs or cat-cows, setting up an obstacle course in the backyard, going for a run at your local trail or having fun with toys, sticks and balls to fetch.

And once you’ve started, don’t forget to open a personal fundraising page on the Pet Fitness Challenge and share the link with family and friends so they can donate (and give you a bit of extra motivation).

The first 30 participants to raise over $500 will get an exclusive Lost Dogs’ Home T-shirt, while everyone who raises $300 gets a printed tea towel. All funds raised through the challenge will go towards taking care of cats and dogs in the organisation’s shelter, as well as finding them new homes.

Raising $150 means each animal gets a comfortable bed, toys and healthy food; $500 can pay for assessment, care and treatment by a vet; and $2500 helps the team re-train and re-home the pets.
