Over one picturesque weekend this November, the Margaret River Region hosts a new festival celebrating the best in Australian wine and food.

A brand-new wine and food festival will hit Western Australia’s south west this November with the debut of Pair’d Margaret River Region. From Thursday November 14 to Sunday November 17, Pair’d brings together world-class wine and food with music, in the breathtaking forests and beaches of Margaret River. There are plenty of events across the four days for all tastes.

Margaret’s Beach Club takes over Castle Bay with both daytime and sunset sessions. From 12pm to 4pm over the weekend, expect live DJ sets performances from Ibiza’s Cafe Del Mar DJ, Ken Fan. In the evenings from 6pm to 10pm, rockstar turned cheese and winemaker (and bassist of Blur) Alex James will be spinning the decks. All sessions involve barbeque seafood platters and menus from chefs Dave Pynt, Aaron Carr, Ben Jacob and Ben Ing matched with a Margaret River Region wine list chosen by local somm Cyndal Petty. Tickets start at $145 and must be bought in advance.

On Saturday, Nature’s Table welcomes guests to an indulgent four-course lunch under the towering trees of Tanah Marah Forest. Dishes will be curated and cooked by ex-Noma colleagues David Zilber, Ben Ing and Paul Iskov, and will be made with local ingredients. Local Wadandi custodian Zac Webb will guide guests through the meal and share stories throughout the feast. Tickets start at $269. Lunch is from 12pm to 4pm.

If you’re interested in learning more about wines from the region, don’t skip the Grand Tasting presented by Singapore Airlines. It’s dedicated to celebrating and highlighting the area’s high-quality wines and includes three wine tastings, unlimited dishes, and live music by opera singer and cookbook author Silvia Colloca. Try some of the region’s best and most premium wines, with all bottles available to buy on the day. Tickets start at $140.

There’s also Night Hawker, an evening of Asian street food by top chefs Dan Hong, Mal Chow and Rosheen Kaul designed to pair with House of Cards wine, Eagle Bay Brewing Co beers and cocktails.

And New Wave Gathering, a collaboration between rebel winemakers, with Tiktok chef Andy Hearnden (AKA Andy Cooks) in charge of food alongside wine writer Nick Ryan, plus music taken care of by DJ Grant Smillie, chef Brian Cole and Attica’s Ben Shrewry.
