NT Live: Fleabag for Charity

Fri 10th April, 2020 – Sun 31st May, 2020
Price: From $8
The hilarious one-woman show that inspired the hit TV series is being broadcast from London's West End to your lounge room. (Sadly sans hot priest.)

Before it was a hit BBC TV show, Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s Fleabag was a hilarious, award-winning one-woman play, which premiered at Edinburgh Fringe in 2013.

Waller-Bridge has since performed the monologue – about an oversexed, unnamed owner of guinea pig-themed cafe grieving her best friend – to sold-out theatres in London and New York.

Last October, a live recording of the play was broadcast from London’s West End to Australian cinemas as part of the National Theatre’s ground-breaking project aimed at sharing its world-class theatre with overseas.

But, in light of the coronavirus outbreak, Waller-Bridge has made the recording available to stream at home – for as little $8 – until May 31. All proceeds will go to UK charities dedicated to supporting those affected by the pandemic.
