Nadine Ingram Masterclass at Carriageworks

Wed 3rd November, 2021 – Tue 1st February, 2022
The celebrated baker and founder of Flour and Stone will front up for a chat about cooking techniques and all things sweet.

Carriageworks and Smeg have teamed up again for a series of world class cooking masterclasses – this time with a difference. Rather than previous years of in-person live events, the classes will be filmed in Carriageworks’ state of the art Smeg kitchen and streamed online for free.

Featuring names such as Peter Gilmore (Quay), Nadine Ingram (Flour and Stone), Palisa Anderson (Chat Thai), Evan Stroeve (RE Bar) and Luke Powell (LP’s Quality Meats and Bella Brutta), the series will explore the five elements of taste – umami, sweet, sour, bitter and salty – with step-by-step instructions, conversation, along with tips and tricks in the kitchen. A new episode will be released each month.

With the first episode featuring Peter Gilmore now online, November kicks off with celebrated baker and founder of Flour and Stone, Nadine Ingram. She’ll chat all things sweet with award-winning publisher and storyteller, Julie Gibbs. Ingram will take viewers through the techniques behind her favourite recipes, from an old-fashioned vanilla layer cake to pear tarte tatin and chocolate tarts. The episode will stream Wednesday 3 November, 2021. The series runs until Tuesday 1 February, 2022.
