Fuel up for the festival with this special dining series presented by Broadsheet, featuring special menus at top restaurants like Aru, Parcs, Dom’s Social Club and more.

Rising returns from June 1 to 16, bringing an eclectic festival of performance, art and music to every corner of Melbourne’s CBD. It’s chaotic in the best way and, with so much to see, do and experience, getting through a packed itinerary makes for hungry and thirsty work. This is where Moon Bites comes in.

Throughout the festival, Moon Bites sees a selection of the city’s best restaurants offering up classic dishes, unique menus and festival-only cocktails. Each restaurant is located within the festival’s footprint, making Moon Bites venues ideal pit stops before, after or in between Rising events.

This year, Aru is serving a set menu that includes one of the city’s best bread and butter combos and a welcome spritz, while the Parcs menu includes a Marigold highball and cured tuna. Dom’s Social Club’s got a special pizza topped with red wine-braised beef cheek and fior di latte and, over in Fed Square, you’ve got your choice of three or five courses at Big Esso and a pre-show menu at Victoria by Farmer’s Daughters that includes a Victorian wine or beer. By the river, Arbory introduces a new three-cheese fondue for two, paired with mulled wine. Over at the multi-venue Her, you can get pasta specials (baked rigatoni, clam spaghetti and casarecce with ragu) downstairs at Her Bar and wok-fried Thai hits upstairs at BKK.

Whether you’re looking for a snack between shows, want a big meal out to fuel up for a night of art and music, or are just in the mood for a limited edition feed, there’s plenty to try at Moon Bites.
