Metro Theatre’s Seven-Day Weekend at Sydney Solstice
If you’ve seen your favourite band in Sydney, chances are you’ve seen them at The Metro.
The George Street venue is re-opening after a long layoff of almost 18 months . It’s doing so with a so-called seven day weekend in conjunction with Sydney Solstice.
Over seven consecutive nights of live music, it promises to be an exuberant display of making up for lost time. Melbourne indie-rockers British India open the account on Thursday 24 June, followed by Fearless Pop Party on Friday 25 June. Breakout the eyeliner and hairspray for Emo Night on Saturday 26 June, a convenient segue into local deathcore heroes Thy Art is Murder opening the pit up on Sunday 27 June.
Monday 28 June sees the raw indie-rock of Camp Cope makes waves, followed by the gargantuan riffs of The Getaway Plan on Tuesday 29 June and Gap Year on Wednesday 30 June to round out the week.
Due to Covid-19 related travel restrictions, the event has made some changes to the original event schedule/line-up. Please refer to the event website for full details and ticket options.
