Messina Red-Velvet Cookie Pies
More than a year after Messina debuted its red-velvet cookie pie during Australia’s first lockdown, the crowd favourite is back with a creamy upgrade.
It’s still packed with distinct red-velvet flavour, still ruby red as ever, and still studded with white-chocolate chips. But the team has added a new element: a thick layer of rich cream-cheese custard. (Because, really, what’s red velvet without cream cheese?)
Once you’re home, all you have to do is bake your cookie pie for around 25 minutes, let it rest and add a scoop of your choice of gelato on top.
The cookie pie serves four to six people. Orders open on Monday September 13 at different times depending on your closest store location. Pick-up is available between September 17 and 19.
