With international and domestic travel largely off the cards for the time being, Tourism Australia wants to bring some of the country’s best travel experiences into your lounge room.
On Saturday and Sunday May 16 and 17, dozens of experiences will be live-streamed on Tourism Australia’s Facebook page and Youtube channel – every hour, on the hour. Think iconic landscapes, world-class food and wine, native wildlife and more.
On Saturday May 16 you can learn about Indigenous ingredients with Masterchef judge Jock Zonfrillo, join a disco-fuelled dance party with The Wiggles, hone your cheesemaking skills with Oakridge Wines head chefs Jo Barrett and Matt Stone, dive into Australia’s wine history with SA winery Unico Zelo, or try your luck at virtual pub trivia.
On Sunday May 17, there’s sunrise yoga in Byron Bay, a coffee masterclass with the experts from Ona, “The Great Aussie Brunch” at Three Blue Ducks, a wine-and-art pairing at McLaren Vale’s mind-bending d’Arenberg Cube, and a tour of Kangaroo Island.
From 7am AEST on Saturday to 10pm AEST on Sunday.
