Electro-house pioneers Justice are returning to Australia after more than a decade. The French duo are making up for lost time with their most ambitious live show to date.

Genesis, the thunderous intro to Justice’s self-titled debut, † (aka Cross), might be one of the greatest album openers of all time. Its distorted brass section and seismic bass line instantly put dance floors around the world on notice. Combined with its “opera-disco” concept, religious iconography, and the Grammy-nominated single D.A.N.C.E., Justice helped define an era of electronic music that millions have yet to recover from.

Now, French producers Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay are bringing their world-beating show, Justice: Live, to Australia with three special appearances, in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, this December.

The tour is a big deal for a few reasons. For one, it marks the duo’s first visit Down Under since 2012 and finally gives fans a chance to hear hits from across their catalogue – including Audio, Video, Disco (2011), Woman (2016), and last year’s Hyperdrama, which featured the Grammy-winning single Neverender with vocals by Australia’s own Kevin Parker (the producer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist behind Tame Impala).

But also, we’re getting this. Unveiled to global acclaim at Coachella last year, the duo’s immersive new stage production is like a Parisian party ship bound for the stars. Nearly 20 years since they first blasted the horns of Genesis, Justice will prove every night of the tour why they remain one of the best-sounding (and best-looking) live electronic acts of all time.
