For those unfamiliar with Hot Dub Time Machine (aka Sydney DJ Tom Lowndes), his sets feature songs from throughout the decades played in chronological order – from 1954 all way up to 2020. And they’re always a damn good time.
With all of his upcoming shows cancelled because of coronavirus, Lowndes’s Hot Dub at Home is here to spice up your Saturday night soundtrack. Every second week, he’ll be live-streaming a two-and-a-half-hour dance party from 6pm AEST. Upcoming at-home sessions are on May 2, 16 and 30.
But, as usual, expect more than just the music. Hot Dub is an audio-visual journey through pop music history – the visuals are hooked up to the turntables. Plus, post a photo on Instagram with the hashtag #hotdubathome for your chance to get a cameo appearance on the livestream.
Watch the livestream here. It’ll be available to view for 48 hours afterwards.
From 6pm to 8.30pm AEST.
