Hot Chip Freakout/Release Tour

Hot Chip has been melding synth pop with smooth electronic beats and meaningful lyrics for 18 years. Over that time, the British band's career has been punctuated by extremely catchy songs with driving beats, in particular Ready for the Floor, Over and Over, Boy From School and One Life Stand.

There's been Grammy nominations along the way, and their 2006 album, The Warning, was up for a Mercury prize (an award that recognises the best album released in the UK by a British band).

Now the electronic luminaries are about to drop a new album, Freakout/Release, featuring singles Down and Eleanor. It's out in August and then a couple months later, in November, they'll be in Australia for two east coast shows: one on Wednesday November 16 at Brisbane's Princess Theatre followed by a gig at Sydney's Roundhouse on Friday 18.
