Sydney studio Groove Therapy usually runs IRL dance classes designed to make you feel good. (There are no mirrors and dim lights.)
But amid the coronavirus outbreak, the judgement-free classes – billed as being “for people who think they can’t dance” – have shifted online.
You can join a livestream via Zoom most nights of the week. There are a variety of 35-minute classes: some are perfect for beginners, others are for more experienced dancers. The Mission Stiletto class, for example, will teach you how to hold your body, walk in heels and explore your femininity through dance.
If you can’t make the livestream (or just prefer dancing solo), pre-recorded courses are also available. They include playlists, dance challenges and other resources.
Classes are $8 and run most nights of the week.
