Fujifilm Program for Emerging Photographers
Australia’s photography scene is growing fast – and for many, it’s moved well beyond a hobby. With over six million content creators across the country, the paid jobs can be competitive to swing. Fujifilm is offering the opportunity for emerging photographers to gain experience in a professional setting, with three new gigs as part of its GFX Gigs program.
Each brief is linked to a distinct subject: fashion, landscape or the performing arts. One photographer will go backstage at the upcoming Romance Was Born runway show at Australian Fashion Week. Another will take part in a landscape shoot over Mount Kosciuszko – by helicopter. And a third will document The Marriage of Figaro at the Sydney Opera House, ahead of its opening night.
Selected photographers will be briefed by the Fujifilm team, supplied with the new GFX100RF camera and asked to produce a full suite of still and social content in response to the assignment brief.
The reward? A $4000 payment, covered flights, hotel accommodation, all meals and exclusive access to your chosen event. Applications are open via the brand’s website until April 28 and require a portfolio, current gear list and short written response.
