Combine yoga and a silent disco and you get Flow After Dark Silent Disco Yoga. Run by Sydney’s Flow Athletic studio, these regular events see yogis pretzel themselves into poses as a DJ pumps tunes into their headphones. Now, Flow Athletic is taking the concept online, raising money to help its staff see out the coronavirus pandemic.
It will live-stream a vinyasa yoga lesson led by instructor Kate Kendall from 7pm AEST on Thursday April 9. Sydney DJ James Mack will complement the 90-minute routine with tunes that promote fluid movement. Flow aims to get 10,000 people from around the world streaming the lesson at once, creating a sense of connection at a time when many feel more isolated than ever.
