In Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, Finders Keepers has been an IRL platform for hundreds of independent artists and designers to showcase and sell their wares – including ceramics, furniture, plants, candles, accessories and more.
But the massive design market is going virtual for its autumn/winter instalment this year, from June 19 to 21, so you can discover the season’s best bits and bobs online.
The full line-up of vendors will go live on a new shopping directory on June 18. In the meantime, you can shop framed artwork, tailored jumpsuits, ceramic jewellery, cork yoga mats and more at its regular online marketplace.
Highlights of the three-day program include a virtual runway featuring the autumn/winter fashion stallholders, plus how-tos on creating a skincare ritual, revamping old pieces from your wardrobe and covering unsightly stains.
There’ll also be a series of live-streamed workshops. Paint your own leather dog leash, do some pressed-flower art, DIY beeswax wraps, crochet a heart with chunky merino wool, or learn the art of natural dyeing. Prices start at $35, and everything you need to take part will be shipped to you in advance. Tickets go on sale Tuesday June 2 at 9.30am and close Monday June 8 at 9.30pm.
