Falls Festival 2022/2023
Ring in 2023 with Falls Festival, returning this year for the first time since the 2020 edition was cancelled. And it’s back in a big way.
This time it’s heading to Byron Bay, Fremantle and Birregurra in Victoria, taking over new venues in the latter two stops. Expect three main stages featuring previous festival favourites and some first-timers on the line-up.
Amerian rapper Lil Nas X’s wish on Twitter has come true: OG Wiggles Anthony, Murray, Jeff and Greg are performing at all three shows, with cameos from costumed favourites like Captain Feathersword, Dorothy the Dinosaur, Wags the Dog and Henry the Octopus.
English rock band Arctic Monkeys are heading Down Under fresh from headlining Reading and Leeds music festivals in Europe, and South Korean hitmaker Peggy Gou will also take to the stage. Fresh from the high of his massive Coachella set, producer Jamie xx will be there too, as will Scottish pop group Chvrches and Caroline rapper Aminé. Also coming down: English production duo CamelPhat, singer-songwriter PinkPantheress, DJ Seinfeld and more.
While the international line-up is huge, local acts are also putting their best foot forward. Alt-psychedelic rock band Ocean Alley, indie rock four-piece Spacey Jane, Melbourne muso G Flip, pub rock group Amyl and the Sniffers, Aussie house producer Mall Grab, rapper Genesis Owusu, party starter CC:DISCO and more are all taking the stage.
A Club Falls ticket will get you into VIP zones, or you can book a private Falls Cabana overlooking the main stage to share with your mates. In the mornings there’ll be yoga and Pilates sessions to stretch you out before you dance the day away, or you can go for a dip in one of the swimming pools.
Join a three-legged race, play backyard cricket or go head-to-head in beer pong (sans the beer) at Falls’ Shit Olympics, or sip some wine at a Pinot and Paint session.
And when the night winds down, you can rent a tent for the full camping experience or sleep in luxury at glamping-style accommodation.
Pre-sale tickets for all three locations go on sale on Monday May 9 at 9am local time – sign up for first dibs. General sales start on Thursday May 12 at 9am local time.
