Greater Palm Springs, USA, is – among other things – home to some of the US’s most distinctive mid-century architecture, the flagship annual music event Coachella Festival, and the shooting location for new movie, Don’t Worry Darling, the new psychological thriller from director Olivia Wilde starring Florence Pugh, Harry Styles and Wilde herself. You’ve heard all about it. Now here’s a chance to touch down in Greater Palm Springs and see the stunning location for yourself.
The rare offer comes thanks to Warner Bros Australia, who have partnered with Delta Air Lines, Visit Greater Palm Springs and La Quinta Resort & Club to pull together a whopper prize pack worth nearly $10,000.
The winner will receive two return flights from Sydney to Los Angeles, thanks to Delta Air Lines. After touching down in LA, you and your friend will be driven to the famous La Quinta Resort & Club in Palm Springs, where you’ll bed down for four nights. While there you’ll sate yourself with dinner at onsite Mexican standout Adobe Grill, as well as Morgan’s in the Desert, which showcases some of the best in American cuisine. There’s also a 50-minute Spa La Quinta Signature Massage in store for each of you.
And you’re going to need it with all the activities on offer.
One of Southern California’s most storied desert oases, Greater Palm Springs features nine distinct cities—Palm Springs, Desert Hot Springs, Cathedral City, Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert, Indian Wells, La Quinta, Indio, and Coachella. Each hosts a swathe of art scenes, film, sporting and music events, with Coachella itself now being synonymous with one of the biggest multi-day music festivals in the world. Outside of cultural lures, there’s also hot springs, palm groves, golf spots and sun-drenched landscapes to explore.
One of which is the La Quinta Resort & Club itself. If you’ve ever seen a photo of an azure pool nestled among white buildings, palm trees and set against a backdrop of rocky desert mountains and a sheer blue sky, chances it was most likely taken here. It also happens to be a stand-in for the fictional town of Victory, which features in Don’t Worry Darling – the cast also stayed here while filming.
Built in the 1920s, the La Quinta Resort & Club is the longest-running resort in the Palm Springs desert area and one of only two resorts in the country for which a city has been named. Among its 45 acres you can find a wealth of fruit trees, cacti, cypress, palms and flowers, along 617 guestrooms, 161 villas, hot spas and those distinctive blue pools set in a sun dappled white stone courtyard against the Santa Rosa Mountains.
Guests will fly to LA from Sydney on Delta Air Lines. Serving nearly 200 million customers annually, Delta now operates daily services from Sydney to Los Angeles on the new Airbus A350-900, which offers a range of cabin experiences including Delta One suites, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+ & Main Cabin. After departing in Sydney, winners will land in LAX before being connected to Greater Palm Springs.
