One of popular music’s truly unique artists, David Byrne, will tour Australia in November. Byrne is touring on the back of his highly acclaimed new album American Utopia, his first solo studio album in 14 years.

The one time Talking Heads bandleader will stage a highly theatrical show backed by a 12-piece band. The show will feature choreography from Annie B-Parson who also choreographed Byrne’s Australian tour with St. Vincent.

Byrne is describing the performance as “the most ambitious show [he's] done since the shows that were filmed for Stop Making Sense.” He recently performed at American music festival Coachella where he famously sung new song Here to a model of a human brain.

As well as songs from American Utopia, Byrne’s set will include hits from his Talking Heads back catalogue as well as his solo career.

Tickets go on sale Monday June 18 at 12pm. Tickets here.
