Screaming, crying, perfect storms. The superstar and pop anti-hero is shaking it off for the first time Down Under since 2018.

Ain’t it funny? Rumours fly – and we know you’ve heard about her. After much speculation, pop superstar Taylor Swift has finally announced that she’s taking her blockbuster Eras tour to Australia.

Five dates have been announced for the Australian leg – with two in Melbourne at the MCG and three at Sydney’s Accor Stadium. They’re all happening in February, so expect a cruel summer.

It’s been nearly five years since the singer last toured Down Under for the Reputation tour. Since then she’s released four new albums (including the alternative indie-leaning Folklore and last year’s Midnights) and re-recorded two others (with a third, Speak Now (Taylor’s Version), coming next month) to critical acclaim and chart success.

The Eras tour is the genre-bending singer-songwriter’s biggest tour to date, with 10 distinct acts, a set list of 44 songs and a run time of three hours. She describes it as “a journey through the musical eras of my career (past and present)”, which began when she was just 14 and still squarely making country music – after multiple artistic reinventions, we’ll be seeing it all unfold on stage.

The Melbourne shows will be on February 16 and 17, with three Sydney shows from February 23 to 25. Opening act is American singer and actor Sabrina Carpenter (Nonsense, Skin, Vicious).

The American Express VIP Package presale starts on Monday June 26, with Frontier Members’ presale beginning on Wednesday June 28. General tickets go on sale on Friday June 30. On-sale times are 10am AEST for Sydney shows and 2pm AEST for Melbourne shows. Ticket prices start at $79.90.
