Ever wanted to see a lizard evade certain death by hundreds of in-pursuit snakes, backed by a symphony orchestra? How about watch big cats on the outskirts of Bombay stalk their prey on a giant screen?

You’ll soon be able to do both of those things when Planet Earth II – Live in Concert arrives in Australia this April for a national tour.

Selected scenes from the acclaimed, and much-loved BBC series documenting the rarely seen marvels of the natural world will be backed by a Hans Zimmer score performed live by orchestras in each state: in Brisbane, the Queensland Symphony Orchestra; in Perth, West Australian Symphony Orchestra; in Melbourne, Melbourne Pops Orchestra; and in Sydney, the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.

Eric Bana is filling in for David Attenborough.

Tickets are now on sale at ticketek.com.au.
