Two weeks ago, Meredith Music Festival released its 2019 line-up headlined by outré disco singer Róisín Murphy, Aussie rapper Briggs, EBM DJ Helena Hauff and ’80s synth godfather the Egyptian Lover.

But Aunty Meredith has just announced a huge surprise headliner. Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher is heading to the Supernatural Amphitheatre.

The singer recently played Glastonbury’s Pyramid stage where he delivered a set of transcendent Oasis classics including Wonderwall and Champagne Supernova, as well as solo material including songs from his forthcoming album Why Me? Why Not.

Also announced today is Welsh indie artist Cate Le Bon who has toured with musicians such as St Vincent and Perfume Genius. As well as playing guitar, Le Bon sings in both English and Welsh.

Online ticket sales for Meredith Music Festival 2019 will take place on Wednesday August 28 at 11am AEST. Tickets here.
