Before Josh Thomas achieved international recognition with his hilarious and heartbreaking show Please Like Me, he had a reputation as a cracking stand-up comic. To that end he’s made a sneaky little announcement on his social media accounts: he’ll be bringing a live show to Australia.

“I haven’t done stand-up for six years and am nervous about it,” he writes. “But also I think I have fun things to say! It’s just an itty bitty tour.”

He also hints that there will be the chance for free trial-show tickets. Details are currently scant, but the pre-sale site is giving fans the option to choose where they’d like to see him, including in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.

Thomas is currently in the middle of producing his latest show, Everything’s Gonna Be Okay, a follow-up to Please Like Me, which debuted in 2013 on ABC. It aired in the US on Pivot, which helped him develop season two.
