Start prepping those festival outfits because Wildlands festival is back, returning to Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide. We’re taking a closer look at the packed line-up, as well as the extra premium touches on offer.

We’re always looking forward to summer, but with summer comes the festival season – and sometimes that’s even more exciting than the season itself. Walking in to the distant sound of the stage pumping as you get your hands on a cold drink – the excitement is well worth the year-long wait. Now, as Wildlands returns with a very stacked line-up, the anticipation is mounting.

This year, the festival brings a pop, dance and hip-hop-heavy line-up to Brisbane (where it began in 2019) to ring in New Year’s Eve for the first time (with an extended license keeping the party going past midnight), before heading to Perth and Adelaide. With headline performances from RÜFÜS DU SOL and Peggy Gou, to private bars and more, there’s plenty to do and see. Here’s what we’ll be putting on our list at Wildlands this time around:

Massive international acts

The international side of the line-up is a bumper crop too, led by British grime star and rapper Central Cee, who in 2022 became the first UK rapper to crack one billion streams in a year. Off the back of recent collaboration with fellow Brit Dave, it’ll be worth getting in early for Central Cee. We’re also keen to catch A$AP Ferg, with the founding member of A$AP Mob returning for a rare outing (his first time back on our shores since 2020), and South Korean DJ and producer Peggy Gou, who’s currently riding high on the back of hit single (It Goes Like) Nanana.

For a different kind of festival experience, it’s definitely worth catching the Circular Sound performance from British producer Sub Focus. Circular Sound takes the hypnotising drum and bass of Sub Focus to a cinematic level, accompanied by projected visuals, lasers and a giant moving ring of light.

A star-studded homegrown line-up

They’re festival staples and one of our true export success stories, so expect a very packed crowd at RÜFÜS DU SOL, fresh from Grammy success for their tune Alive. Other Aussies joining the electronic dance three-piece at the top of the bill are Brisbane locals and party-starters The Jungle Giants and G Flip, whose 2023 album Drummer recently topped the ARIA charts.

Adding a little luxury

Beyond the music, there’s plenty to keep you busy at Wildlands this summer – particularly for VIP and VVIP ticket holders. Beyond the express lane entry and premium toilets (let’s be real – we’re not afraid to prioritise toilets), both VIP and VVIPs will get to kick back at the exclusive Casamigos Margarita bar, while VVIPs will find a Margarita waiting for them inside.

For the first time this year, Wildlands is also offering up a Fast Pass ticket upgrade, which will give you access to priority entry and the ability to skip queues throughout the festival.

Wildlands comes to Brisbane (December 31), Perth (January 6) and Adelaide (January 7). Set times have just been released, so dont miss out and get your tickets here.
