This year, Splendour in the Grass released a record number of tickets, upping its capacity by 7500 to 42,500. But that didn’t sate the hunger of music fans desperate to see acts such as Childish Gambino, Foals, Pond and Courtney Barnett on the outskirts of Byron Bay in July. Tickets went on sale at 9am and had sold out by just after 2pm.
But we’ll let you in on a secret: there is still one way you can get tickets (apart from buying from dodgy resellers). Contiki has snagged a bunch of tickets and created a Splendour package.
For $1579 you’ll get a three-day event ticket. It offers camping with a tent and bed set up for you near the main entrance. Breakfast is served each morning and there is a hangout tent you can head to between sets that’ll also be where a surprise Splendour artist will perform a special performance on one of the days (plus it has a charging station for your phone). You’ll also get return transport from Brisbane or the Gold Coast.
There’s a comp also to win an exclusive experience that includes a backstage tour, side-of-stage viewing in the amphitheatre and Gold Bar and Golden View access.
Contiki tickets are on sale now. Splendour in the Grass is on July 19 to 21, 2019. Book here.
