Your Best Festival Side Quest Could Win You Four Tickets to Beyond the Valley

Festivals rarely unfold according to plan. There’s the set you stumble into by accident, the wrong turn that leads into a hidden sanctuary, the live podcast recording that changes your life, the stranger who becomes a new best friend. Beyond the Valley is the type of event where the side quests are just as memorable as the headliners – the stories that happen around the music and end up becoming the defining moments of your experience.

This year, BTV is expanding its own roster of official side quests, with plenty of new and returning experiences.

Main Street is the vibrant heart of the festival, where you’ll find shops, wellness experiences and places to discover. The Palms Pool House is set along here, offering a reprieve from the summer heat with a festival swimming pool for midday dips. Another Main Street stop is The Lounge Room, a more relaxed hub for conversations, podcasts and workshops. And if the festival energy makes you want to go for a run or exercise, stop by Salomon Base Camp.

Then there’s Downtown BTV, a maze of experiences and adult playgrounds that includes Poof Doof’s circus and drag dance club Cirque du Slay; the intimate and spontaneous sets of Smirnoff Schmall Klub; Red Bull Unforeseen’s party; and Jack Daniel’s House Party. Of course, we can’t forget the two-storey Dr Dan’s stage – built from reused shipping containers, it’s the epicentre of Downtown and combines headliners, homegrown talent and secret acts.

And those are just some of BTV’s side quests. Now, we want to hear about yours.
