Uber has introduced a scheduling feature at last. Gone are the days of waking up in a panic before a flight or meeting to find that your Uber has cancelled on you. Now users can tap “Schedule a Ride” and set their pick-up time, location and destination from 15 minutes to 30 days in advance.

The on-demand ride service launched in 2012 and has since offered an array of additional services, from Uber Eats, to Uber Emojis. It even delivered puppies at one stage.

Convenience is still Uber’s priority, so users can cancel their pre-booked ride at any time. Uber will also send two reminders ahead of pick-up (24 hours and 30 minutes before).

Australians can pre-book their Uber ride from 1pm today though, for now, the feature is only available in selected areas of Sydney, Perth, Melbourne and Brisbane.

Rides can be scheduled in the eastern suburbs and inner west of Sydney.
