“I think being original is being true to yourself,” says Melbourne artist Pete Cromer. “Once you know who you are and what you want to do in life, everything kind of flows from that.”

Cromer’s colourful artworks reflect that confidence, and speak to the intersect between nostalgia and pleasure. In response to the celebrations around Mickey Mouse’s 90th, we asked Cromer to reflect on Mickey’s relevance and craft a unique item inspired by the character.
