If you saw Broadsheet’s recent round-up of bedside tables, you’d know there’s a wide world of nightstands and drawers out there. But sometimes you want to just go back to basics with something stylish, functional and timeless that’ll work with most other furniture and fit-outs.
Enter mattress and bedding brand Eva’s first foray into bedside tables and coffee tables, with a sturdy timber designs and a handy amount of storage in each. It’s part of the direct-to-consumer label’s push into furniture outside of the beds and mattresses – earlier this year it launched a plush new sofa made from recycled plastic bottles (and there’s a matching ottoman now, too).
The range, called Hideaway, starts at $325 and comes in three sizes: a square coffee table, a smaller long coffee table, and a side table for your bed, couch or hallway. Each is made from sustainably sourced American oak and takes just minutes to assemble – flip the top over, screw in the legs and you’ve got a table.
The drawers are already divided into compartments for easy storage and organisation, and the timber offcuts have also been turned into matching coasters. Bonus: the timber finish complements the accents in the sofa and the bed frame, for a cohesive look.
As with all Eva products, the Hideaway tables come with a 120-night trial plus free delivery and returns if you’re unhappy with them. All tables are available for preorder now with estimated delivery from late September.
