It looks as though we’ll be spending a lot more time at home in the coming months as we bunker down to flatten the coronavirus curve. So perhaps now is the perfect time to invest in good-quality linen and pretty homewares – we might as well make this enforced hibernation as comfortable as possible.
Luxury Sydney linen brand In Bed has temporarily closed its Paddington boutique, but it’s now offering its full range – including items previously only available in-store – online.
The company will be shipping items from its physical store for free Australia-wide, so those who don’t live in Sydney will get the chance to purchase in-store exclusives for the first time. It’ll be popping different items in its Instagram stories (and thereafter its highlights) each day. Customers can purchase them via phone, email and DM. (The comfy and chic bedding, pyjamas, towels, aprons and tablecloths usually sold online remain available on the website.)
So far the store has sold mini Tara Burke vases; hand-turned wooden incense holders; ceramic bowls; teapots and teacups; and very fancy egg cups with matching cloches (the last thing you need while the world falls apart are lukewarm eggs).
In Bed is also offering one-on-one phone consultations should you need a hand decorating your pad, and it’ll be introducing its followers to its in-store consultants, interior designers and artists via Instagram, too.
