Win: A Luxe Melbourne Escape To See the NGV’s Blockbuster Cartier Exhibition
Words by Audrey Payne · Updated on 24 Jul 2026 · Published on 23 Jul 2026
The NGV’s 2026 Melbourne Winter Masterpieces exhibition celebrates the extraordinary legacy of Cartier, bringing together nearly 300 jewels, timepieces and precious objects from one of the world’s most celebrated jewellery houses.
Making its Australian debut after a blockbuster run at London’s Victoria and Albert Museum, the exhibition features everything from royal tiaras and historic gemstones to pieces worn by Elizabeth Taylor, Grace Kelly, Rihanna and Dame Nellie Melba.
Alongside the remarkable collection, immersive exhibition design from the Rotterdam-based Studio Sabine Marcelis and Cloud transforms the gallery into a series of jewel-toned spaces inspired by the brilliance of precious stones.
To celebrate, we’re giving one Broadsheet reader and their plus-one a chance to experience the exhibition in style.
The prize includes two tickets to Cartier at the NGV (valid for one visit between September 4 and October 4); lunch for two at the NGV Garden Restaurant on the day of your visit; a one-night stay at Hilton Melbourne Little Queen Street; and two official Cartier exhibition publications to take home.
If you live outside Victoria, you’ll also have two return flights covered to Melbourne from your nearest Australian capital city. That brings the total prize pool to just under $2500.
To enter, complete your details here. Entries close at 9am on Monday, August 17 and the winner will be drawn on Friday August 21.
Blackout dates apply on the AFL Grand Final long weekend (September 25 to 27).
Cartier is open now until October 4 at NGV International. You can book exhibition tickets online, with member, concession and family prices available.
Broadsheet is a proud media partner of the National Gallery of Victoria.
