Broadsheet and Wanderlust 108 are giving you the chance to win VIP tickets to the all-day festival that explores holistic approaches to the mind, body and soul. The winner and a guest will receive return flights to Melbourne from their nearest capital city, two nights’ accommodation at Hotel Lindrum, a private meditation workshop with leading spiritual teacher Biet Simkin, and an intimate dinner for two prepared by Reuben Davis, renowned chef of the newly-opened Elektra.
Wanderlust 108 aims to uplift and empower its attendees through meditation sessions, motivational speakers and yoga practice. Taking place on Saturday, November 9 from 7.30am to 5pm in Melbourne’s Alexandra Gardens, the festival will be a cathartic journey for participants to release tension, activate awareness and embrace their inner yogi.
The event combines yogic techniques with an energetic line-up of DJs who’ll provide the soundtrack for “amplified yoga” – a new modality that seeks to overcome inhibition and move the participant out of their comfort zone to embrace freedom in the body. There’s also a “mindful triathlon” that combines a 5km run, 75 minutes of Power Flow yoga and a 25-minute guided mass meditation.
There’ll also be a marketplace with local vendors selling food, drinks, clothes, jewellery and crafts, and an impressive line-up of nutrition and yoga experts from Australia and around the world teaching classes for all levels. Activities include aerial yoga, acroyoga and hooping.
The competition winner will receive two VIP festival tickets with access to trainers, exclusive workshops and front-of-stage mat placement, plus a private meditation session with notable New York meditation teacher Biet Simkin.
In addition to the boutique accommodation (for the nights of November 8 and 9) and chef’s table dinner (November 9), the winner and their guest will be be treated to a final breakfast at the hotel on November 10.
