Run by a small team of local volunteers in conjunction with visiting chefs, the King Island Long Table Lunch displays the best of local and Tasmanian produce.
Since 2009, the event has been pulling interstate and international visitors to the Bass Strait island halfway between Victoria and the north-west tip of Tasmania. Tickets to the 2017 Long Table Lunch are sold out, but courtesy of Pure South Dining and King Island Beef, we’re giving away two tickets plus flights from Moorabbin Airport and on-island transfers.
The King Island Long Table Lunch will be held on Sunday February 26 at Boomerang by the Sea in the township of Currie, the largest of three on the island. Melbourne’s Pure South Dining has a long association with the island and its producers and is again collaborating on the lunch, with wines from Tasmania’s Pipers Brook.
