Plane clothing store is a clever play on the everyday "plain" clothes we all need. Plane is never going to set the world on fire, but that’s not the point. Owner Tristan Barlow wanted to offer the market good, simple, high-quality basics at affordable and reasonable prices. The great thing is, when you're in Plane, it doesn’t feel boring or redundant, rather it's happy and welcoming.
Barlow’s simple approach is the kind most of us want most of the time and it’s surprising there aren’t more like it. This may go some way to explaining his quick success, having opened his second store in Manchester Lane to go alongside the first on Chapel Street.
Inside, there are a few local brands that sit very comfortably alongside the house gear that can make this a one-stop shop for all your basic needs. Catering for guys and girls, Plane offers a full-service approach to your wardrobe with everything from shoes to sunglasses and everything in the middle.
