Yahav Ron is a well-connected man. Over more than a decade, the fashion reseller and designer has created a network of 50 stylish and well-heeled women across Europe and the United States. He thoughtfully buys their designer garments for his high-end resale boutique Paris ’99. Ron started the concept (named after a career-defining trip to Paris in 1999) in his parents’ living room in 2010, before opening a brick-and-mortar space the following year.

Today, Ron continues to sell hard-to-find pieces in Paris ’99’s upstairs showroom and studio in Hampton. The room is flanked by curated racks of new and pre-loved garments from international designers – such as Balenciaga, Alexander McQueen, Marni, Comme des Garcons, Dries Van Noten and Isaac Mizrahi. Garments range from size 6 to 16, with a strong focus on timeless pieces made with natural fabrics. While most of the stock is feminine, a dedicated rack also shows off more masculine pieces.

The fashion obsession extends to the walls, which are covered in fashion posters and lined with shelves that showcase Ron’s collection of fashion books. In one corner, you’ll also find a sewing machine, with which he makes one-off pieces for his eponymous fashion label.

Ron himself is overflowing with personality, style and a passion for finding customers the perfect garment. He believes that shopping should be fun – like playing dress-ups. A pre-booked appointment with him might involve champagne or a decadent afternoon tea. He’s even been known to rearrange the whole shop for a customer before an appointment, swapping in pieces from the rest of his collection upstairs.

Indeed, in a digital era where many preloved designer garments are just a click away, Paris ’99 stands out with its tailored, salon-style experience that’s reminiscent of couture houses of a former era. It’s why fashion designers, costume designers and international stylists shop here. And it’s what keeps Ron going year on year. After all, the only thing he loves more than sourcing rare designer pieces is finding the next perfect home for them.

Paris ’99 is open to the public as well as for private appointments. Contact Yahav Ron directly to book one.
