Moncler Collins St

Moncler is an Italian brand that specialises in luxe down-jackets and other winterwear. It was founded in the 1950s to make quilted jackets for mountaineers, but under the careful stewardship of chairman and CEO Remo Ruffini, it’s more common to see a Moncler coat on a runway than on the slopes these days.

You might not know Moncler by name, but you’ve definitely seen one of its pieces (a red Maya down jacket starred in Drake’s iconic Hotline Bling music video). The brand opened a Chadstone flagship shop in 2017, and in 2021, followed it up with a CBD boutique.

It’s a clean, bright and simple space – all the better for drawing your attention to the loud and eye-catching pieces hanging from the racks. The first room in the shop is dedicated to showcasing Moncler’s Genius range: where each month a notable designer collaborates with Moncler to release one-off pieces – past contributors have included JW Anderson and Simone Rocha.

The second room is for Moncler’s core collection of coats, ski jackets and outerwear, plus a range of ready-to-wear knits, shirts, cardigans, dresses and accessories.
