Mietta by Rosemary
After plenty of pop-ups and the roaring success of her online store, former Attica pastry chef Rosemary Andrews is putting down her roots. This December, Andrews (ex-Tivoli Road Bakery, Ezard) will open Mietta by Rosemary, a dedicated bakery and cake shop on Glenferrie Road, Malvern.
Andrews, who was behind the glorious Attica Summer Camp dessert trolley, will bring her singular sweets to the six-month pop-up site, which is expected to open Fridays through to Sundays. The takeaway-only spot will offer Andrews’s honey cakes, Negroni-spiked chocolate tarts and twice-baked flourless cake with 70 per cent Valrhona chocolate. Her knockout lemon tart – which Attica chef-owner Ben Shewry once told Broadsheet was the best he’s ever eaten – might also make an appearance.
Mietta by Rosemary will open in December at 23 Glenferrie Road, Malvern.
