Ivy Muse Botanical Emporium
Jacqui Vidal and Alana Langan call their retail space on High Street a “botanical emporium”. That may sound OTT, but “plant store” doesn’t seem to do a place decked out with 24-carat gold-plated shelves that reach the ceiling justice. The huge black-bean tree is the only thing in the shop not for sale.
Langan and Vidal were long-time friends when they started Ivy Muse. The pair was looking for a fun way to collaborate outside of their full-time jobs (Vidal runs art shop Signed and Numbered, Langan is an interior stylist) when the idea to design plant stands came up.
Aside from being purely decorative the stands are for anyone worried about water damage from pots on the floor, for keeping pets away, or as a way to de-clutter floor space.
Ivy Muse also sells plants and a small collection of ceramic pots, homewares, jewellery and other accessories in store from brands such as Studio Twocan, Karen Walker, Miniscapes and Wingnut & Co.
