Since 1998 e.g.etal have been supplying Melbourne with Australian and New Zealand made contemporary jewellery and craft. They provide the avant-garde and creative with original pieces that are handmade and authentically original.
In many cases the designers and craftspeople are showcased exclusively in e.g.etal, and this has undeniably contributed to the success of the space. Cinnamon Lee’s extraordinary digital like pattern repeats contrast heavily with Natalia Milosz-Piekarska’s organic forms, yet each find their place here, complimenting each other and e.g.etal’s philosophy of providing a home for some the most talented and diverse smiths and designers in this country. It is with the help of their jewellery that Emma Goodsir, director of e.g.etal explains, "can define our identity (and) anchor us with reassuring traditions.”
