Since opening in Melbourne at the end of 2014, this Swedish brand has lured in everyone from office workers, to fashion-forward shoppers.

As one of the H&M Group's five separate brands, Cos’s niche is minimalist clothing at accessible prices. The quality of fabrics here is higher than H&M and prices naturally follow. But you’ll be happy to know that most Cos items look more expensive than they actually are.

Cos stores stock a comprehensive range of wardrobe classics for men and women. Everything is structured, clean-cut and multi-functional. You'll notice only a dash of print on the racks but there is always an array of block colours on show.

The men’s line makes looking smart super easy. All the essential styles and shapes are here – plain T-shirts, collared shirts, knitwear, tailored coats and a host of trouser styles for work or play.

The women’s offering is a little more playful. There are the core basics, a truly exciting offering of modern shirting and tops (you could wear any one of these to your office job and on a weekend), plus more adventurous pieces each season. Cos also carries a small childrenswear line, plus shoes, bags, jewellery and seasonal ranges such as swimwear or hats.

Short story: if you need non-boring clothes for work and want some polished pieces at a fair price, this is the place to head.
