Alex and Tim Britten’s studio is spilling over with evidence of their obsession for tailoring and their passion for menswear. Endless racks and piles of patterns spill out from all angles, hinting at the difficulty Alex and Tim have with drawing the line between studio and home, work and life.

Dubbed ‘Customer Store’, their barely-announced debut store sits at the entrance to the pair’s sixth-floor studio on Flinders Lane. The small space provides just enough room for displaying a tight edit of pieces and the natural light allows customers to explore the intricate details that From Britten pieces are renowned for. The store showcases Alex and Tim’s custom service, offering a personal experience, where made-to-order suits and shirting can be perfected according to each individual’s taste.

It also provides just enough space for the Brittens to stock pieces from a handful of like-minded labels.

The average From Britten client may be a stickler for classic tailoring, but if they love the subtle complexity of the Brittens designs, they’re bound to lose their cool for PAGEANT’s fabrications and form. The same will be said of the timeless lines of Christopher Esber Menswear and Song For The Mute’s beauty-by-drape, which are both also stocked here.
